How It Works
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is the humane, effective alternative to letting feral and free-roaming cats keep breeding. Cats are trapped, spayed or neutered, ear-tipped, and returned to the colony they came from, so the colony stops growing and the cats live calmer, healthier lives. PETS Clinic supports TNR in Wichita Falls, Amarillo, and Lubbock; the Vernon and Graham satellite clinics do not handle feral cats.
A small notch is tipped into one ear during surgery — a painless, permanent sign that a community cat has already been sterilized, so it is never trapped or operated on twice.
Fewer litters means fewer kittens entering shelters, less fighting, spraying, and roaming, and healthier, more stable neighborhood colonies over time.
TNR is available in Wichita Falls, Amarillo, and Lubbock. The Vernon and Graham satellite clinics do not accept feral cats.
