How It Works
Pet overpopulation does not stop at the city limit sign. PETS does not either. Since June 2010, the Rural Transport program has helped pet owners in nearby communities get low-cost spay and neuter surgery at the Wichita Falls clinic.
The program picks up about 15-20 pets each week for spay and neuter surgery.
Transport is arranged for pet owners in cities up to about one hour from Wichita Falls.
This program helps people who cannot take off work for a full day or do not have transportation to the Wichita Falls clinic.
Thank you to the J.S. Bridwell Foundation and Bryant Edwards Foundation for helping provide the transport van.
