P.E.T.S. is proud to partner with Helping Hounds for our transport program for dog rescue: Underdog Express. Underdog Express was born in June of 2016 from an existing program to handle long distance, high volume transport for dogs who are out of time at shelters in the Wichita Falls area.
Our amazing local volunteers pull healthy pups from shelters before they are put down and set them up with incredible volunteer foster families who care for the dogs. When the dogs are ready, they hop on a transport truck bound for Helping Hounds Dog Rescue in Syracuse, New York.
The Underdog Express program has now sent over 4,700 dogs to New York! The average length of stay for dogs is only 9 days! It is not uncommon for a line of eager potential adopters to form outside the rescue on Saturdays after transport arrivals, even in snow and frigid temperatures!
Underdog Express is one more way, thanks to your donations and the volunteers, we are saving lives in the Falls together.

Foster families are needed for each dog for a minimum of two weeks prior to transport. Please message us on Facebook or you can get a head start by filling out this foster application and sending it to us by email to pets0707@yahoo.com if you are interested in fostering for Underdog Express.
