(Drumroll, please…..)

and preventative services to any and all pet owners in our area.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

At the Clinic

We spayed and neutered 7809 pets in 2017! We saw 16,797 walk-ins for preventative services! That is an average of 651 spays/neuters & 1400 walk-ins each month. What a wonderful year! Thank you to everyone that makes our work possible from volunteers to staff, from clients to donors, you are all responsible for the dramatic changes we are seeing in the welfare of pets in our area![/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”30620″ img_size=”500×400″][vc_column_text]P.E.T.S. Underdog Express pulls dogs in danger of being put down
at local and area shelters, places them with fosters, and sends them
to New York where they’re adopted within an average of 9 days.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

P.E.T.S. Underdog Express

We have to take a moment to express our deep gratitude to Jan Herzog and Kellie Ann Poole for our amazing P.E.T.S. Underdog Express success. We sent 581 dogs to New York that would have otherwise been dead this year. We took over this program in Jan of 2017 and we have doubled the number of dogs sent, secured a source of food, lowered expenses, and kicked major butt all the way around. Thank you again to our wonderful donors! Because of you and the amazing P.E.T.S. Underdog Express volunteers lives have been saved and we’ll save even more next year![/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”32660″ img_size=”500×400″][vc_column_text]Tethering or chaining a dog in the yard in Wichita Falls is illegal.

of a chain and stay in a home, rather than a dog lose their home.

P.E.T.S. Chainoff

Our beloved Chainoff team built 15 fences and freed 30 dogs this year. All while dealing with the loss of our beloved brother, Gerald Hohfeld. Talk about plowing forward in spite of the odds, our Chain-off team honored Gerald’s memory by getting back to work and building in his honor. A smaller person would have quit but not our guys. Furthermore, this team is the reason we have given out over 200 free dog shelters this year, and Gary and Linda from the team have volunteered to pick up the monthly food donation from Chewy.com for our Underdog Express foster dogs. Once again, proving that when the right people get together, anything is possible. #WeBuildforGerald[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”32662″ img_size=”500×400″][vc_column_text]P.E.T.S. Pantry provides a portion of monthly food for pet owners
who need help ensuring the pets they love get enough food.

P.E.T.S. Pantry

Lastly, the P.E.T.S. Pantry saw a HUGE increase this year. We averaged 500 pets each month compared to 150 in prior years. Thanks to your donations and continued support, we have maintained 204 active Pantry clients every month, and we expect more growth in the coming year. A giant shoutout to Anibal Guevara who picks up food and reorganizes our Pantry weekly and to Lorenzo Reyna and Esly Pimentel for managing the distribution. That is no small hurdle![/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”32681″ img_size=”600×382″][vc_column_text]

Next Year!

With the continued support of our amazing staff, volunteers, clients, and donors, anything is possible. We lost many we loved this year, and there’s always that possibility in any year, but 2017 has proven that we will honor the memories of those who support our mission by working even harder in their name. Put your seatbelts on, P.E.T.S. is about to take over the Falls and we won’t stop there![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
