P.E.T.S. Clinic of Lubbock Opening Aided by ASPCA Grant

Lubbock, TX — P.E.T.S. Clinic of Lubbock today announced that more of the equipment needed and training required to offer Lubbock the highest quality spays and neuters along with preventative care will be provided by a generous grant from the ASPCA.

“Overpopulation of dogs and cats is a serious issue in and around Lubbock,” said Angie Skinner, Executive Director of P.E.T.S. Clinic of Lubbock. “Our high rates of overpopulation locally mean our shelters, rescues, and efforts to keep dogs and cats without homes safe and sheltered are stretched to the limit. We are beyond capacity. ” Skinner said. “Because of the equipment and training provided by the ASPCA along with the help of our incredible community, P.E.T.S. Clinic of Lubbock will be able provide high quality spay and neuter surgeries and preventative care at incredibly low prices. This will work to lower overpopulation and keep pets in the homes that love them.”

P.E.T.S. Clinic of Lubbock is a branch of P.E.T.S. Clinic in Wichita Falls, Texas. There is also a P.E.T.S. Clinic in Amarillo. With over 60,000 spays and neuters associated with the Wichita Falls location, P.E.T.S. is a proven non-profit working to “Prevent Euthanasia Through Sterilization.” The new clinic in Lubbock will open in March offering not only spay and neuter surgeries but also vaccines, heartworm testing, along with other aspects of preventative care. The preventative care provided at the clinic ensures that all pet owners who love their pet do not have to worry as much over financial barriers in order to provide the kind of care that can prevent disease and give their dogs or cats long healthy lives in their homes.
