It’s time for our annual Valentine’s Day special. P.E.T.S. will be offering FREE Canine Heartworm testing when you purchase a 12 mos supply of preventative or half priced test with 6 mos or less purchased all month long in February.
Heartworm disease is fatal if left untreated. It is also very expensive to treat. Treatment is hard on your dog and requires confinement. “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” is never more true than in the case of heartworm disease. Texas is ranked as one of the highest for incidents of Heartworm disease. We want to make sure your dog doesn’t become a statistic.
Why February? Spring is right around the corner and heartworm disease is spread by mosquitoes. Our spring showers are great for your flowers but can be a breeding ground for mosquitoes. Heartworms are a year-round threat in Texas. Heartworm preventative should be given every month beginning at 12 weeks for the entire life of your dog. Most importantly, February is all about love and there is no greater, more unconditional love than that of a dog.
